It can work only if the brand supports manager-led operations and your unit economics can pay a capable manager.

Requirements
- Clear SOPs and franchisor ops playbooks
- A hired manager with P&L accountability
- Your weekly time for KPIs, cash, hiring, and quality checks
- Enough margin after royalty to fund payroll

Food QSR and some service brands vary widely — some expect owner-operators. Confirm ownership model in writing before paying fees.

Start as hands-on for the first 90 days, then step back only after systems are stable.
