When is the right time to raise startup funding in Pakistan?

I have a small SaaS MVP with early paying users in Lahore. Friends say raise now; others say wait for product-market fit. What milestones should be clear before approaching angel investors or seed funds in Pakistan?

Raise when capital clearly accelerates a proven loop — not when you only need survival cash.

Signals you are ready
- Repeatable sales or retention (even at small scale)
- Unit economics you can explain without guessing
- A 12–18 month plan showing what the round buys (team, distribution, product)
- At least 6–9 months of runway left so you negotiate from strength

Pakistan angle
Angel rounds and friends-and-family are more common than classic VC for early stage. Lead with traction, local market insight, and a clean cap table. Pitch decks that only show vision get ignored; decks that show weekly growth and customer proof get meetings.

If you are early
Stay lean, validate willingness to pay, then raise. Dilution hurts more when valuation is still a story.
